    John helped to turn round, what was, a loss making company into a highly profitable top 20 agency. Significant business wins such as The Guardian, BT, Mercedes, Harley-Davidson, Co-operative Bank/Smile and Talking Pages/Yell also led to awards. Indeed, 12 IPA Effectiveness Awards, for 7 clients, and over 80 major creative awards, for 20 clients (across 5 different media), were won.

    He and his four partners sold the agency to Snyder (Arnold network), which was subsequently bought by Havas.

    Together with a strategic media partner John set up a consultancy handling fast-turnaround projects with small budgets.

    John helped to set up the fully integrated agency, Addition Marketing (now Mustoe Merriman). Apart from his creative responsibilities, he was also involved in the strategic direction and growth of the business (£0 -£12m income in the first 6 months).

    John started out as a copywriter at Saatchi & Saatchi winning, in the same year, the industry's award for 'The Most Promising Beginner.'

  • REES BRADLEY HEPBURN | Creative Director

    RBH lured John as their Creative Director in 2006. A 60m billing independent agency, he primarily oversaw Jaguar, Land Rover, Hyundai and Aston Martin as well as a fleet of non-automotive clients.

    During his time there RBH won over 30 awards including a Marketing Society Gold for effeciveness.

    John is currently the Executive Creative Director of Clusta, an interactive creative agency he helped reposition from a digital production company. As a result, Clusta is now winning business direct from major clients rather than just through agencies.
